At noon Dimora plans to step aside as chair of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party. This comes two days after he held a news conference in which he blamed a conspiracy stemming from national GP leaders for last year’s raid on his home and the ongoing investigation. Pat Britt will take over at noon as head of the county’s Democratic Party. The Cuyahoga County Republican Party has called on Dimora to step down as county commissioner. The party plans to take him to court if he refuses.
