Palin Blasts Critics Remains Mum on 2012 Bid
FXNews
appendChild(script); Gov. Sarah Palin was coy about her presidential aspirations but criticized both President bama and the Republican Party in her first interview since announcing she was stepping down as governor of Alaska. Standing astride a fishing boat she would later climb aboard to haul in fishing nets and salmon Palin expressed bitterness at bloggers who peppered her with ethics accusations whom she said brought government in Alaska to a grinding halt. “The critics want to put you on a course of personal bankruptcy so you can’t afford to serve” she said calling the attacks “bull crap. “The governor made the remarks in an interview with FX News in Dillingham where she was fishing with her husband Todd and daughter Piper. Reporters from three other networks were also in attendance.
Commentary: The politics of self destruction
CNN
Mark Sanford cries for his soul mate in Argentina. And now Sarah Palin calls it quits. The Republican Party was once a solid serious stable group of people. It was the party of Eisenhower of Ford — and not too long ago the party of Colin Powell. Now it’s got more flakes than Post Toasties. For all her whining about the ethics complaints brought against her Sarah Palin is not the victim of the politics of personal destruction. She’s the victim of the politics of self destruction.
gop’s Peter King Another Reason to Leave the Republican Party
American Chronicle
” Leave it to the leadership in the Republican Party to publicly condemn and ridicule American icon and world-wide hero Michael Jackson on the eve of his memorial service. At a time when millions and millions of Americans mourn the death of an enormously talented genius GP Congressman Peter King (Republican from New York) is seen in a video posted on.
n tea parties …
Dallas Morning News
The two that were paid for by the Republican party in that county were a mock ups of bama one as Hitler and one of a nazi soldier. Still another cruder homemade sign equated ACRN to the Nazi SS. Not about one party or the other?.
GP too conservative for a conservative country
Atlanta Journal Constitution
Rather than suggesting an upturn in conservatism the elections the tattered image of the GP depressed identification with the Republican Party and President bama’s broad popularity have many in and outside of the Republican Party wondering whether the country has outgrown the GP’s largely conservative platform. So what’s the explanation? My own theory is that the Republican Party has driven itself so far to the extreme right that it has managed to alienate what remains a largely conservative country. That has allowed the Democrats to fill the resulting vacuum in the political center. A lot of conservatives of course disagree believing that the GP’s problems can be solved by moving still farther to the right. But politics in the end is a game decided by raw arithmetic.
