Larimer ‘Republican renaissance’ to begin with new party logo
The Colorado Independent
As the entire nation witnessed during the last election cycle however it ain’t easy for conservatives to speak convincingly about change and the Larimer logo contest announcement is predictably awkward. “It’s out with the old and in with your new logo! Help us design an… image that will… excite motivate and inspire Larimer County Republicans and represent the new Republican renaissance of 2010 and beyond!” Analysts see Larimer County as key to the 2010 elections and the state GP seems to agree.

How to Throw the Rascals ut!

However its ethical standards are sorely lacking as its leader holds a lucrative position in the private sector and determines the outcome of legislation affecting his private interests. I have in the past and continue to advocate the formation of a new party. Its goal would be to throw out of office all of the incumbents elected on both the Democratic and Republican Party lines and elect new members to the Assembly and Senate. Those individuals would pledge to run only for two terms and then leave it to the two major parties in the next election to contest for the open seats in the entire Assembly and Senate. ne proviso would be that any incumbent could run in the Democratic and Republican primary if eligible under the law to succeed themselves. The new party would then go out of business hoping the two major parties had been sufficiently punished by the citizen voters of New York and would take the opportunity to redeem themselves. The battle cry for the new party yet to be named should be “Throw the Rascals ut!” I suggest all of the incumbents the bad and the good be thrown out unless they are accepted by the new party and only run on the new party line.
Haley Barbour’s big week sparks 2012 chatter
CNN Political Ticker
Barbour — a widely-respected figure among party insiders who will wrap up his second term conveniently in 2011 — is visiting a trio of important states this week beginning on Monday in Virginia where he’s campaigning for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell. n Wednesday he’ll work his southern charm up north in Bedford New Hampshire at a fundraising reception for the state GP. And on Thursday he’s speaking at another state party fundraiser in the pivotal caucus state of Iowa. Matt Strawn the chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa said Barbour was invited to speak at their “Night of the Rising Stars” in Des Moines in part because Barbour knocked off a Democratic incumbent to claim the governorship in 2003. Iowa Republicans are trying hoping for a similar result against Democrat Chet Culver next year. “Haley has a message that will resonate with Iowa Republicans capturing a governorship and providing competent and common sense conservative leadership” Strawn said. Betty Chu is betting that voters will like her experience. “I believe my platform has broad appeal” she said. A longtime Democrat she said she switched to the Republican Party last year after deciding that her political views fit better with the GP. She does not support President bama’s economic stimulus plan calling it ineffective and wasteful of taxpayer dollars. As “the only candidate who has the real-life experience of being an attorney bank founder and elected official” Chu promised to “hold the line on taxes and ensure that tax dollars are spent wisely. “Born in San Diego she said she worked in the fields as a child with her parents and as an adult broke many barriers including becoming the first female Chinese American lawyer in Southern California. Chu financed her primary campaign with a $25000 loan to herself but said she is raising money for the runoff.
Why the Republican Party is in its weakened state
Manteca Bulletin
\x26nbsp\x3B I believe that every citizen has something to contribute to the common welfare of this country. \x26nbsp\x3B However in recent years the old school ideas and ideals of the Republican doctrine have become totally out of touch with the vision the majority of Americans have for our country. \x26nbsp\x3B This is the greatest weakness of the Republican party. \x26nbsp\x3B At this point I am happy to see this happen.

… He wasn’t trying to create jobs; he was helping his buddies. ”Pelz also took at shot at Republicans and the activists saying “The ‘Party of No’ and the TEA-baggers know what they are against but they don’t have any vision of what they are for. ”State Republican Party chairman Luke Esser said recently that his party hopes to make the spending efforts by bama and congressional Democrats an issue in the next election cycle. He said Friday that the “TEA party” events are developing as “grass-roots events. It makes the case that this is not a Republican right-wing conspiracy but a people’s movement. ”Brad Shannon: 360-753-1688bshannon@theolympian.
