But Cloud said the conflict didn’t cause him to step down.

"All those wheels are off the vehicle now and you’ve got to put them back on and get it moving as fast as possible" Richardson said. In talking with county political chairmen district party officials members of the GP state committee and some officeholders Richardson said he believes Hulshof had the best chance of putting it back together. He added that he has been a friend of Hulshof for years.
