There was some defection from the RPI (Athavale group) with Mahesh Tanna vice-president Kartar Singh and Gulabrao Nikam joining the BSP. Dilip Kamble from the Bharatiya Republican Party-Bahujan Mahasangh; Devidas Dolas NCP’s Pimpri Chinchwad president; and Vidya Vastan from the MNS also have joined the BSP. While the BSP did not win a seat in the last general and Assembly elections in Maharashtra its candidates undermined the fortunes of other parties. It is expected to do better in the next elections with the social engineering formula involving the Dalits the other backward classes the upper castes and the Muslims. The party is also planning some meetings with the upper castes in various parts of the State.

30–Voters in Delaware County’s Penn-Delco school district will be asked Tuesday to vote for two former board members who have since resigned — one after he was arrested on criminal charges. Brookhaven resident John Green’s name will appear on the ballot even though he was charged last week with felony and misdemeanor conflict of interest in connection with his actions on the board. The Aston Republican Party which had endorsed Green before he was charged is not backing him in the election its chairman said yesterday. Former Penn-Delco school board member Margaret DiVito’s. Just look at the blog by James Hartline one of San Diego’s noisiest Christian conservatives who blamed gays for the SoCal wildfires.

That means that Floridians can expect to be bombarded with Republican television and radio spots for much of January when the Democrats will be silent. And the state Republican Party has already moved to exploit the turmoil on the other side running.
