This is not Tea Party 2.0. In fact, New Republicans are much the opposite of the Tea Party. New Republicans have been quiet, but we are many. We want to move our country forward with same sex marriage, immigration reform, national debt reduction, and may other important issues. No matter your political affiliation, join us!
What is New Republican's goal, exactly?
The goal of the New Republicans is to lead, unite, organize and educate. In the coming weeks and months, New Republicans will be organizing events, uniting millions of individuals, while informing and educating millions more. In addition, New Republicans will offer unique solutions to some of our country’s most difficult problems. New Republicans will look to not only move conversations forward, but enact real laws by real law makers who otherwise wouldn’t have had the public support necessary to achieve such. For example, there is no reason same-sex marriage isn't recognized in every state and by the federal government. New Republicans will only support this movement, we will lead it.
The founders of New Republicans do not seek notoriety or attention. That’s not the mission. We are a group who grew tired of being told what it meant to be a Republican, of the few corrupting the views of the many. Share your voice by simply subscribing to our e-mail letter or following us on Twitter.

Our future government, our country, will be shaped by informed people like you. Why don't we join together instead of sitting silently on the sidelines? We are New Republicans, this is who we are, and this is how we will improve our country

What are New Republicans about?
First of all, New Republicans are not seeking to “take the country back” or any such nonsense. New Republicans seek to unite, and move us all forward. President Obama is not an enemy with whom we should rally against, but a man who has earned our admiration. While New Republicans may hold some different--and at times opposite--views from the President and his party, our focus is not to find a common opponent, but to unite people who are not well represented by either political party.
New Republicans are not a product of the most recent election; somehow choosing new and adjusting old positions that may seem more electable in the future. Nothing could be further from the truth. In short, New Republicans have continuously held our beliefs even as we have watched “Republicans” voice their opposition. The time has come to move out of the shadows and let our voice be heard.
The New Republicans
Immediate goals with this website and social media:
We will be launching our website, sharing videos and kicking off our event schedule soon. We're excited to get going and hope you will stay informed by simply subscribing to our e-mail letter and following us on Twitter. . . Surely a political movement extending beyond one party and uniting our country can be as popular as, say, Lady Gaga? What's the point of all this? Please keep reading below. . .
Same Sex Marriage: New Republicans not only approve of gay marriage, but also will be leading the charge in making it legal in all 50 states and properly recognized by the federal government, including the our tax code. Join us!
Immigration: It's nice for New Republicans to see people like Sean Hannity finally come around to the New Republican position on immigration. But we can lead a nation-wide effort. To be clear, there absolutely must be a path toward citizenship for every person who is in this country right now. While our country should not encourage people to break our laws, we must do the right thing and let hard-working, good people move out of the shadows and into the mainstream. In the coming weeks New Republicans will be unveiling our comprehensive immigration and citizenship plan that we will push every member of congress to review and implement. New Republicans are not interested in idle chatter or political positioning, but only in enacting real legislative change.
Term Limits: Most all citizens agree that special interests, outside influence and money play too large of a direct role in our political system. More often than not, when you look at the politicians who seem beholden to special interests, you will find long-serving politicians. Seldom is the junior congressman, fresh with enthusiasm and bright ideas a corrupting force. More often than not, he or she is without a voice among career representatives. New Republicans believe no member of the House shall serve more than 4 terms (8-years) and no member of the Senate shall be eligible for more than 2 terms (12 years). Being a representative of the people should not be a life-long profession, but rather a short-term public service mission. Help us make this law!
Marijuana: New Republicans do not believe in a traditional war on drugs. New Republicans believe in a war on addiction. Crime and specifically violent crime occur far too often because individuals are trying to feed an addiction or simply obtain money. New Republicans understand few people desire a life of drug-dealing crime, but when humans are faced with the choice of going hungry or selling drugs, most will choose the latter. To be clear, marijuana should be decriminalized by the federal government. New Republicans believe that what somebody wants to do in the privacy of their own home—while not infringing upon the rights of others—is up to that individual, not the government. Help us shape federal law that is more consistent with Washington and Colorado's recent Marijuana initiatives. Join us!
Small Business: Every political group panders to small businesses because every political group understands their importance to the economy, the jobs they create, and the tax revenue they produce. New Republicans seek to help small businesses via specific initiatives and ideas, not through “Our nation is built on small businesses” rhetoric. Specifically, and as a preview of a comprehensive small business plan that New Republicans will be releasing in the coming weeks, small businesses should receive 1-year exemptions on payroll taxes for new employees, dedicated government resources for quick and easy regulatory filings, and other tax incentives for new employee hiring. Small businesses shouldn't be punished for employing new employees, but actively encouraged by state and local governments. Help us help small business!
Education: How we educate our children and adults in America is broken. From the actual classroom instruction, to educational funding, to the disparity among test scores from region to region, our present methods are obviously ripe for improvement. New Republicans believe strongly in constructive dialogue to fix the real problems that in the long-term hurt all of us. New Republicans strongly embrace Kahn Academy teaching methods and the spotlight it has shined on new and more efficient ways to learn. Let’s not make educational reform a battle between teacher’s unions and citizens, but let's look first at what a better educational system would look like. From there, let's work toward common sense solutions. New Republicans are confident the United States' educational systems can improve without hurting teachers or taxpayers. Help us make this a reality!
Environment: Is global warming real? Yes. That has been established. New Republicans understand that it doesn’t matter if man has influenced global temperatures or not (we probably have); let’s all work toward less pollution and green house gasses anyway. In the long-term, we all benefit, and our children benefit, from a cleaner environment.
Technology: One of America’s greatest resources is our ingenuity and risk-taking society. From the times of Franklin and Edison to today’s innovators like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, America has been the birthplace of new technology. Far more wealth and quality of life improvements have been created by new American technologies than from any other source or place. And with new technologies come new jobs and new tax revenue. We all benefit. New Republicans welcome educated immigrants who can not only help us build great companies but can also become leading employers. Why let some of the most intelligent citizens of foreign countries attend our best universities only to send them home after receiving a wonderful education? Support of technology, from Silicon Valley to New York, and support of immigration go hand in hand. Join us in our plan to keep smart people who want to work and grow in America in America!
Faith and Law: New Republicans believe faith and religion can be a wonderful thing. Millions of people spend billions of dollars every year helping others within faith-based organizations. Our laws should continue to encourage such support. But New Republicans do not believe one’s faith should play a role in lawmaking. New Republicans do not support members of the Republican party who use their faith as an excuse or reason for law.
Definition: New Republican 1. Historically soft-spoken members of the Republican party who are socially progressive, often non faith-based voters, who are now actively vocal about governmental change. Often proponents of: same sex marriage, national debt reduction, creative government solutions, immigration rights, among others
Why no Facebook? New Republicans believe Facebook is inefficient at best and disingenuous at worst. New Republicans have no interest in paying Facebook to reach all “our” fans via promoted posts. (Yes, we understand the subscriber thing, but who is to say the rules won’t change.) Besides, Twitter is clearly the future and that’s where we are all going.
What's Next: As noted above, New Republicans are launching a new website, unveiling new ideas, a series of videos and much more in the coming weeks.
